We’re currently having issues with users submitting images. As a short term solution, please email an image for the event to email@example.com Make sure you add the event in the subject line so we know where it goes. Having an image helps our readers get a taste for the event and will also make it easier for us to potentially promote it on our social channels.

Laugh, Learn, Smile.
The premise for nada yoga is that the entire universe and everything that exists within it, including human beings, consists of sound vibrations. The vibrations were there first before anything else came into existence and this expression of sound builds the basis for the creation and existence of all matter.
We will start the workshop with some listening and chanting – receiving and creating sound – tracing external sounds, as they travel through space arriving at the ear. Then we’ll take this expression of sound into an energetic, challenging and fun vinyasa flow sequence.
To balance we’ll follow with a slow yin and restorative practice and deep guided relaxation tuning in and listening to the more subtle sounds of the breath and yet more subtle internal vibrations.
Part of a series of workshops with the same format, but ever evolving themes and sequences. A great way to deepen your practice and cultivate your connection to body, heart and mind.

Jivamukti Yoga is a method of yoga that was created by David Life and Sharon Gannon in 1984 in New York City. Jivamukti Yoga offers vigorously physical and intellectually stimulating yoga classes that reintegrate the physical, philosophical and spiritual aspects of Yoga. The emphasis in the west has often been on Yoga as mostly a physical practice.
In a typical Jivamukti Yoga class you will experience a vigorous Vinyasa (flowing meditation) based Hatha Yoga practice (yoga postures & breathing techniques) as well as other aspects of yoga, such as meditation, devotional chanting and study of the ancient texts.
In this 2 hour workshop, Nicole will lead you through a typical Jivamukti Yoga class that includes Vinyasa (flowing meditation). The class will be broken down into the 5 characteristic elements of Jivamukti Yoga: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsa (non-violence, non-harming), nāda (music/sound), and dhyana (meditation). There will be time to ask questions.
This exploration of the 5 tenets of the Jivamukti yoga practice will provide a well-rounded approach to our ultimate goal—enlightenment through compassion for all beings.
Described as “the wild child of yoga” by Paper magazine, Jivamukti certainly attracts its share of wild children from a wide array of backgrounds who are drawn to the vigorous Hatha Yoga classes. The Jivamukti method of Yoga is one of the nine internationally recognised styles of Hatha Yoga (yoga postures & breathing techniques).

In this busy age of information and technology the opportunity to be able to experience a few moments of peace and restfulness is more precious than ever. A lot has changed over the last 30 years, our daily lives have become very fast paced and on a minute to minute basis we have to deal with a lot more information and activity. This fast paced lifestyle very unconsciously starts adding stress, anxiety, and tension to our lives, leading to an underlying un-quenched desire for some sort of way to rest the mind and be at peace with ourselves and our surroundings.
After years of producing ambient music and exploring the various possibilities available through digital technology, Sattyananda has devised these DEEP SPACETM workshops that will help people get a break from their busy lives and give them a glimpse of how sound, breathing and simple body movements can guide them to a peaceful and relaxed state of being.
After a 1 hour DeepSpace workshop, you will be treated to That Hungry Chef’s nourishing and cleansing Sattvic meal.
In Ayurveda a Sattvic diet emphasizes healthy living, particularly for keeping our minds clear, youthful and at calm. Sattvic foods are foods that are abundant in Prana- the universal life-force that gives life to all beings. Sattvic food is vegetarian and is prepared with ingredients that are seasonal, organically grown and incredibly healthy & nourishing, without being heavy, greasy, fatty. Above all, it is still bursting with incredible flavours from various spices and the quality of the raw ingredients themselves.
