Susie Morrison, better known as Gourmet Glow, has released her debut e-Cookbook, in time for Christmas. 12 Cooks of Christmas showcases recipes to help you get into the festive season.
The 12 Cooks of Christmas can be downloaded for free (!) from her website www.gourmetglow.co.uk and contains a mix of sweet and savoury recipes.
Each recipe includes a personal introduction and the book as a whole shares some of her story, including the challenges she’s faced this year. Despite how many curveballs 2019 has thrown at her, cooking has been one thing which has gotten her through it (along with her rescue dog, Peanut).
Susie is a talented up-and-coming chef who trained at Leith’s School of Cooking, has got many high profile work experience placements under her belt, not to mention secured positions working at restaurants such as Pastry Chef at Pont de la Tour (I ate there, the food is delicious). She has also worked as a private chef across the whole of the UK and overseas, produces bespoke recipes for boutique food companies and has provided food for brand events. She has even produced her own spice blend, Digestivo, for the Steenbergs Spices Swell range.
The 12 Cooks of Christmas showcases only a fraction of her creative culinary skills, yet she has made this accessible to all, even to the beginner home chef. From panettone to prawn lollipops (yes, they’re a thing!) each recipe is a showstopper in itself. Now you just have to choose what to make first!
