This avocado seed smoothie will have you thinking about avocados differently. No longer will you be throwing away this nutritious little seed! It’s a proper powerhouse of antioxidants and fibre which is great for your gut health.
Never time you use an avocado in a salad, smoothie or on toast (who doesn’t love avo toast?) instead of throwing away that big chunky seed, wash it and set it aside – after all, it’s full of goodness! There’s many ways you can use avocado pips in your food but probably the easiest is to blend it into a smoothie. This healthy smoothie recipe is rich in nutrients and the mango and lime offset the bitter avocado seed.
- 1 Avocado seed
- 1/2 Avocado
- 2 cups unsweetened nut milk
- 1/2 frozen mango
- 3 balls of frozen spinach
- 1 lime, rind cut off
- Using a high-powered blender, pour all ingredients in and blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
