Pancake Day has never been the same! On Tuesday we had the pleasure of going to a Pip and Nut pancake flip off at SMEG hosted, triggered by a need to support her marathon runs! Years down the line, Pip & Nut (nut butter brand created by Pippa Murray) has been sharing their Natural Nuttiness with us in the form of nut butters combined with amazing flavours, and now nut drinks.
I got the opportunity to attend this event on the morning of Pancake Day, belly empty ready to be filled! Upon arriving I was able to jump right in and custom make my own pancake stack (vegan and gluten free options available). I took this opportunity to make my stack Instagrammable lol, with an array of toppings, from berries to chocolate. Obviously, I topped mine with Pip & Nut’s butter as a finishing touch. I also got a cup of freshly squeezed fruit juice to accompany the pancakes! In addition to this, I watched the lovely ladies from SMEG/ Pip & Nut have a live tutorial of how to make perfect pancakes.
Highlights
The biggest highlight of the day was the flip off! Pancake Day most times is about flipping your pancakes with them being intact as they land back in the pan. The challenge was 30 seconds to flip a pancake as many times as you can! Easy right? So I thought until I saw the the winner got a whopping 43 flips!
We got a goody bag which included a Pip & Nut apron to keep creative in the kitchen, THREE, (yes three!) tubs of nut butter including the most recent chocolate coconut hazelnut butter, and an almond drink carton!
