Hannah’s Christmas Wish List 2019
1.) 4Ocean Collapsable Travel Straw and 4Ocean Cleanup Kit
Thinking about the environment and not just myself this Christmas, I would love 4Ocean’s collapsible travel straw and 4Ocean’s cleanup kit. The reusable collapsable straw is a brilliant idea, think of how many straws you wouldn’t use. Even if you have ditched the plastic and are at least using paper straws… you know they have a lifespan of about five sips! So reusable ones are the way to go, and now you can take it on the go too. I love their cleanup kit too. Walking along the beach and collecting trash is excellent exercise; fresh air and you’ll feel good whilst doing good. Although this company is in the States, they ship to the UK. The collapsible travel straw is $25 and the cleanup kit is $25. Check out their shop here.
The Organic Pharmacy body brush is designed to help detoxify and exfoliate the body. My Body Shop one finally fell apart – top tip, don’t leave in the shower to waste away, instead keep dry after use! This one is sold for £8.90 at Goop here and works well before applying number 3 on my list…
I love lotions and potions and I have amassed a few over the years, but my regular go to body potion is a body oil that hydrates and tones. This one from the Organic Pharmacy, sold at Goop for £42, is lovely. Check it out at Goop here.
4.) Diptyque Protective Pine Candle
This candle from Diptyque is luxurious and smells just like a Christmas tree. If you’re not already in the festive spirit and singing carols, this candle will alight your senses. It is a little pricey at £53, but it really smells wonderful, not just a wick on fire with a vague sense of something slightly resembling soap, like many other candles out there. This French Perfume house, Diptyque, uses natural ingredients to fill your senses. Find one here.
5.) S.O.S INTENSE MOISTURISING DUO
My skin always gets a little dry in winter and I have to switch my normal lightweight moisturiser (Premières Vendanges Moisturizing Cream) to a more hydrating and thicker moisturiser. Caudalie’s S.O.S. Vinosource serum and moisturiser is perfect for me and my sensitive skin in winter. I have been using Caudalie for years and I love their products which are packed with antioxidants and natural ingredients. This Intense duo kit is £29. Check out their products here.
I wear my pair of Saucony Triumph ISO 4 trainers all the time and they are sadly now wearing away. Being black and stylish, they go with everything and have also become my travel shoes. However, I need a new pair for the gym; I will keep my old pair until they literally fall off my feet, but they are probably not offering me the support I need anymore. As I already have a bright pair of Asics trainers I wear at the gym, I want a pair that are black. Sometimes, I just wanna wear black, and these look perfect. These Saucony Freedom ISO 2 £140.00 and available here.
I recently attended a Manuka Lab Honey event in London and discovered this fab range of honey, body and skincare products. I have been taking the honey everyday ever since and have successfully avoided getting a cold… so far… fingers crossed. I love Manuka Lab’s natural approach and wellness focused products. This hand wash has their MGO honey in it, known for its antibacterial properties, plus it contains tee-tree oil… leaving your hands feeling clean and fresh. The hand wash is £8.49. Find it here.
8.) Calm: Calm the Mind. Change the World
“Calm is the book that will show you how to take back a little bit of peace, space and all-important calm. This book contains the simple tools, tricks and habits that will change the rest your life. It is a practical and pleasurable guide to twenty-first century mindfulness.” Calm
I suffer with anxiety, so learning to calm and just breathe is very important in combatting the negative effects of anxiety. The calm ‘revolution’ is helping people all over the world. Find your copy here for £9.99.
9.) Fabletics Trinity Mid-Rise Pocket 7/8 in Spruce
As readers are aware, I discovered POPfit near London Fields earlier this year and it quickly became my favourite workout. In their studio, they sell Fabletics fitness gear and I was lucky to be gifted a few items to review. Check out my review here. I love their Powerhold leggings and wear my black pair more often than I’d like to admit. These Trinity Mid-Rise Pocket 7/8 in Spruce are on my list as I like this colour and not just for Christmas! You don’t have to sign up for their V.I.P. membership, you can buy them ad hoc. Find them here or in the POPfit studio.
Not sure what to get your fitness fanatic this Christmas? Why not give the gift of variety with a Classpass gift voucher. The voucher can be added to any membership option. I have Classpass and love the variety of studios available. I like discovering new studios and new activities, to get me working out. It’s like a lucky dip! Find out more here.
GoPro have recently launched their new Hero 8 camera, just in time for Christmas. A robust little camera that can be submerged in water without protective housing, down to 10 meters. With so many awesome features, such as live streaming, GPS, touch screen, video stabilising as well as so many more, this lightweight camera is my favourite action camera to take on the go… like a pro! Ideal for beach or ski holidays alike, this camera comes with accessories to use for any situation, such as bike mounts, wrist mounts or chest mounts. I love this latest range as it has instant image display on the screen and has inbuilt wifi, so you can download all your pics, onto your phone via the app. The GoPro 8 starts at £379.99, but the website offers bundle deals, as well as a Trade-Up program that offers a discount if you send back an old camera. Another plus for the environment, as they recycle these. Check it out here.
12.) Yoga Moves New Year Retreat
This year, I started the year with a wonderful surprise; I won a competition with Purition Shakes. They sent me on a yoga retreat with Yoga Moves, to Davenport House. I loved the retreat as it was a healthy way to begin the new year; amazing vegan food to cleanse and detox, teamed with yoga, medition, acro-yoga (my favoutite) as well as a gong bath (my first). It was a great experience and I am delighted to learn that they are hosting another retreat in the new year. Although not London based, it’s not too far afield. Find out more here.
I hope my list has inspired you to find gifts this Christmas.
Merry Christmas everyone and a healthy and happy new year!
