If you are on the lookout for a delicious, light and creamy coconut yogurt, Cocos Organic may be for you. I’ve been enjoying this organic, vegan yogurt heaped on top of my fruit and cereal.
Cocos Organic Yogurts
Cocos Organic yoghurts come in five flavours: Natural, Vanilla, Strawberry, Mango & Passionfruit and Mixed Berry. I’ve been sampling the Natural and Strawberry flavours, which are both delicious. I wouldn’t usually choose a flavoured yogurt as they are generally a little too sweet for me, and the Strawberry flavour is certainly a lot sweeter than the natural one, but it is indulgent and tasty. The Natural flavour is light and creamy; the only downside is it does lack a bit of the tartness you get with some other dairy free yogurts, but this didn’t stop me spooning it onto a bowl of stewed, cinnamon pears!
The Natural flavour is also really versatile. It can add texture and flavour to sweet and savoury dishes including curried and dips as well as in smoothies and on puddings. The website includes lots of delicious-looking, vegan recipes using the product including Loaded Sweet Potato Wedges and Thai Yellow Curry.
The company don’t heat treat their products after the fermentation process, so all the good, gut-boosting bacteria is preserved and contains billions of live vegan cultures, supporting good gut health.
