Hannah loves to listen to music so you can often hear her sing-a-long to her favourite tunes whilst on the run or even during a class! She has a sweet tooth and easily puts weight on, so she loves to try new and fun ways to exercise. Having successfully completed Veganuary last January, she has become a full time vegetarian – chocolate being too hard to give up completely! Take a look at her health and fitness Christmas Wish List below.
My health and fitness christmas wish list is a variety of ‘eat sweat breathe’ items, sure to keep me excited and keen to actively pursue a healthier lifestyle. With a mixture of comfy workout clothes and accessories, cooking tools and favourite classes as well as introducing myself to new and fun ways to exercise, I am sure 2016 will be a successful and productive year, focused on my health and fitness goals.
A towel for my yoga mat. I love Lulu Lemon’s, the (big) towel. I currently use an old towel, but it slips and looks a little raggedy. This one is a little expensive at £38, but the quality is a vast improvement on my old towel, plus I love this baby blue colour!
2.
Whilst on the subject of yoga, I would also love a carrier or tote for my yoga mat as I find my mat awkward to carry. I love Lulu Lemon’s drishti yoga tote. A little expensive too at £42, but an investment that I’m sure will prove useful.
3.
Workout wear – I love this practice s/slv yoga tee by Sweaty Betty. Although I am worried it is a little bright, it would be a colourful addition to an otherwise dull and monotone wardrobe. For £45, I would wear it regularly.
4.
I am a huge fan of the BlackJaguarWhiteTiger Foundation and since christmas is about giving, what better charity than this. They accept donations and have a shop section on their website for you to purchase gifts that help to support their awesome work; I particularly love their Cielo bracelet pack and their Cielo sweatshirt; an awesome addition to post workout comfiness and warmth!
5.
I love the colour blue and I need a little inspiration to get my bottom off the couch this cold winter. This cosy running top would do the trick. It is bright so I’ll be visible outdoors during these dark nights. The Elite Seamless Run Top is £80 from Sweaty Betty.
6.
Pineapple studios is a great way to test out a plethora of classes, such as ballet, jazz, tap, street and yoga. I am especially excited to try out their Salsa class! Pineapple Studios has a variety of memberships, from single day access to yearly membership. Classes are open to all, with a pay-per-class policy and no need to book. Perfect for the busy individual that doesn’t want the commitment to book in advance.
7.
I’d love a Nutribullet – I am jealous of friends that have one. Being a fan of Instagram, I am frequently jealous of the concoctions that are created with a blender. A Nutribullet would certainly help me successfully complete Veganuary!
8.
WODDice Mere Mortal is a fun stocking filler and a no excuse exercise program! Who could say no to this? Even those people who claim to have no time will find it hard to come up with an excuse not to roll the dice at least once a day! Exercise can be fun!
9.
When I lived in New York, I was a member of an Equinox health club. Thankfully, they’ve made the leap to London. However, they are currently only in Kensington, a little far away from me in East London. So, whilst I anticipate their expansion, I would love the option to go occasionally. Day passes would be the dream! The cleanest gym/health club I have ever been to plus eucalyptus spray in their steam room is a must for any asthma sufferer – breathe!
10.
I’d love membership to Kayla Itsines. Her program allows you to track your progress and remain accountable with reports and photos. She gives you grocery shopping guides and support along the way. I have a few friends that swear by her BBG! Her recent healthy berry muffin recipe had me rushing to the supermarket to buy the ingredients! I’ll keep you posted!
11.
I discovered Orangetheory Fitness earlier this year and I have become a huge fan! Orangetheory Fitness is a 60-minute workout session that incorporates cardiovascular and strength training using heartrate monitors to track intensity. A copy of your performance summary is emailed to you after each session. They offer a range of no contract memberships as well as individual class packs at a great price. If you’re a first-timer, they offer a free taster class! Booking is so easy via the MindBody Connect app, or just give them a call and they’ll book you in.
12.
A Bliss Spa massage or facial! After all this exercise, I’d love some relaxation time at my favourite spa in London, Bliss!
