With such a fast-paced life in the city, it surely doesn’t come as a surprise that time is precious. And often we try and squeeze as much out of each second as we can. Even if that means we run into meetings still in our cycling or workout gear… come on now, admit, you’ve done that too, right? And with more and more people going from yoga mat to boardroom, sportswear has become more versatile to reflect this trend. We’ve chosen our top 5 workout to work gear pieces – they’re versatile, smart and stylish!
Lululemon Rise & Shine Trouser, £108
These are probably the best purchase I’ve ever made – not only can I quite easily wear these as work trousers but they’re stretchy enough to jump straight into a yoga class with. They’re made from four-way stretch material and added lycra and best of all, they have a hidden pocket plus reflective strips that you can flip up at the ankles or pull out from the back pockets. Plus, even if they get crinkly in your drawers, put them on and the wrinkles fall out!
Ilu Fitwear Lace Leggings, was £29.99 now on sale at £11.50
If you’re looking to dress up an outfit, you can’t go wrong with these. There’s a sexy see-through panel in these super soft leggings which are great for cycling in or for a quick yoga session, plus a wide waist band that tucks you in and gives you an extra ounce of confidence. Throw a long shirt-dress or smart T-shirt over the top and you’re ready to walk into work! AND the you can also get the panelled lace in purple if you want to stand out even more.
Lucas Hugh Halo Long Sleeve Sweater, £295
Get this on your wish list now! It’s long length and split sides means that it doesn’t look like a post-workout sweater and the geometric pattern on the front exudes effortless style. Oh, and did we mention that there’s hidden ventilation under the arms so it’s no problem if you come straight from a workout – you won’t end up in a sweaty mess.
Nike Lunar Force I Sky Hi Women’s Shoe, £110
You can’t look chic on top but neglect your footwear! With a sneakly little 6.6cm wedge and an Nike Air unit in the heel, your feet will be perfectly comfy and supported for your whole day’s activities. Plus, these are discreet, smart and give you added height for all those work meetings you have.
Lululemon Rain Runner Jacket, £178
Yes, we know we’ve already featured Lululemon before but we really do love this jacket! It’s called a runner jacket but with it’s lightweight technical fabric, it’ll keep you warm inbetween the gym and work yet let your body breathe too. Plus, it’s flattering shaped back and high neck will ensure any workout gear is instantly smartened up. AND it has lots of pockets to keep a post-workout snack too…
Do you go straight from a workout to work? If so, what do you wear? We want to know!
