It’s already November and there are already Christmas ads on the telly! This year has been the weirdest year. It feels like it’s both flown by, yet dragged on and on. I know that doesn’t make sense, but this year hasn’t either. So, we’ve compiled a list of our ‘Eat, Sweat, Breathe’ favourites, for our November’s Top Picks to hopefully help motivate and inspire; to either get you out of bed on a cold and rainy day, or get your Christmas shopping done early!

I’ve been using the Auro app for a month now and I have found it helpful, motivational and encouraging. The Auro app is designed to provide audio guided workouts, to help people train without the need to follow online videos. When you first join, the app asks questions, so that the workouts can be tailored to your goals, levels and needs. I have found Auro especially helpful when training to run distances. The audio guides you through a workout that helps improve your stamina and ability so that you can build up your running tolerance; it’s like have a personal trainer in your ear! And the app is compatible with Apple Music, so I had my own music playing in the background – how cool is that! There are hundreds of workouts to choose from… from yoga and meditation, to tone at home and running classes. Plus, they add new classes all the time.

Giesswein’s Recycled Fleece Jacket
I’ve reviewed several Giesswein products before because I love this brand, they are awesome. Giesswein are an Austrian based family run business that has been developing clothes and shoes with merino wool for three generations. Giesswein are focused on cruelty-free and sustainable production. This is especially important to me when buying a merino wool product. They have also started creating clothes and shoes with recycled plastic bottles… that’s awesome! These fleece jackets, which are made of 100% recycled water bottles, are sustainable, windproof and thermal insulating and the pockets are lined with high-quality merino wool. It’s not surprising that this fleece is almost sold out… it’s super cosy and perfect for these colder days.

The UP FitBelt 
A great accessory to have if you’re out running, but don’t want to carry a bag. The UP FitBelt fits all my on-the-go essentials, such as ID, money, keys, phone and an inhaler. I like it because it has a zipped pocket, as well as easy access open pockets and a clip for your keys. The zip pocket allows me to feel confident and secure that my valuables are safe. The FitBelt is light, stretchable, washable and has a zip fastening, so you don’t have to step into it and pull it up. I chose black because I use mine for workouts, but I also use mine as a discreet way to carry my valuables when travelling, so I won’t have them pinched when I may be in unfamiliar places.

My Protein – Composure T-Shirt

My Protein has recently launched their Composure collection and it’s lovely. The Composure t-shirt (in deep lake) is my kind of workout top. Here’s why… The colour is lovely, like a petrol teal. The sleeves are longer than most t-shirts, which I love… I don’t particularly like my arms, so I like to cover them more than the popular cap-sleeve tops allow. The material is stretchy and soft and feels silky. The bottom has an adjustable hem, so you can tighten, or leave loose for a more relaxed casual fit. (I like a bit of movement) Also, My Protein’s products have a more affordable price point than most of their competitors. I like this new Composure line; I also have the joggers which are soft, stretchy and comfy… review coming soon.

Q Tech Silicone Quartz Patch

A revolution in pain relief. I won this Q Tech Silicone Quartz Patch in a competition and I’ve been using them regularly ever since. Designed to absorb the energy that is causing pain, these natural patches are non-invasive and don’t require taking medicine. I know pain and any natural remedies are subjective, so I’m just going to say how they feel for me. I have been suffering from shoulder pain for a while and when I wear the quartz patch, the pain is reduced. Whether it is the power of quartz crystals or mind-over-matter, I don’t know, but these patches have been working for me. Tip – I fold over the corner of the patch for easier removal.
When worn in the form of a bracelet or band, this technology inhibits pain signals going to the brain. This was achieved by suspending the finely shocked quartz into a flexible resin and applying it to the body between the pain site and the brain. Q Tech

Zero Water – Water Filter

This month I’ve been really enjoying my Zero Water water filter. I’ve been on the lookout for a water filter for a while as London water isn’t renown for its purity. When Zero Water offered me their 7-cup Ready-Pour™ to try, with a filtration system that promised to remove virtually all dissolved solids from my water, of course I jumped at the chance.
The water definitely tastes better from the filter. The filter also comes with a monitor, which allows you to check the number of ‘dissolved solids’ in the water, and this significantly dropped from over 300 in my tap water to zero when the water was filtered.
The website claims:
Zero Water’s first layer of filtration, activated carbon and oxidation reduction alloy removes the chlorine taste you are accustom to with tap water. The Ion Exchange stage removes virtually all dissolved solids that may be left over from public water systems or even leached into your water from piping such as Aluminum, Lead, Zinc, Nitrate and more. Three additional stages are included to remove other contaminants and to ensure your water receives the appropriate amount of treatment time to deliver a “000” reading on your water quality meter.
What I would say, is that the filter is massive and although the website claims it fits into the fridge, it certainly won’t fit into my (pretty large) fridge. Also note that the filters aren’t the cheapest at approximately £50 for a pack of four.
