Join Ellis Brigham and Fiona Quinn (endurance adventurer, author, and paddleboarder) for a live discussion; ‘Ignore the Fear With Fiona Quinn‘. Fiona will chat about how she became the first woman to complete a length of Britain triathlon in 2018, when she paddled her inflatable SUP from Land’s End to John O’Groats, having already walked and cycled the route.

Event Date: Thursday 15th April

Event Time: 8pm

Ignore the Fear With Fiona Quinn

Have you ever wanted to complete the famous Lands’ End to John O’Groats traversal challenge? People have walked, cycled, swam, ridden a horse and even skateboarded, as well as many other fun and inventive ways. Fiona Quinn decided to turn this challenge into a triathlon with a SUP. Learn about what this challenge meant to Fiona during her chat, Ignore the Fear With Fiona Quinn, live on Zoom and on Facebook at 8pm on Thursday 15th April.

Who Is Fiona Quinn?

Fiona is the first woman to complete a length of Britain on an inflatable paddleboard in which she paddled from Lands’ End to John O’Groats. Taking on her fear of the sea, as well as the demanding logistics of sourcing a boat, crew and funding, Fiona will chat about her incredible experience. Learn more about Fiona here.

What Will The Chat Be About?

During this chat, Fiona will talk about how she overcame her fear of the ocean as she travelled the 40 miles across the Irish Sea and was joined by dolphins (sounds amazing!), battled whirlpools and eventually covered 800 miles up the whole length of Britain. Fiona will also share how she overcame many obstacles to realise her ambition to undertake this feat of endurance, what she learnt along the way and how she developed a love of stand up paddleboarding.

This inspiring talk will be live on Zoom and on Facebook at 8pm on Thursday 15th April.
