Between January and March 2016, my husband and I are having a friendly ‘competition’ to see who can improve their health and fitness the most. So what’s featured on my Christmas Wish List are all things to help with that! I’m also keen not to neglect the mental aspect of health and know that I must create a good ‘eat sweat breathe’ balance.
1.
Okay okay, so this an utter vanity item! I’ve no idea how warm these gloves will keep your hands but you can’t deny they look good. Unfortunately I only own a little Brompton that I like to trundle about London on, but I do like to trundle in style!
2.
The Microbiome Solution by Robynne Chutkan, £17.16
How does your gut garden grow? I’m convinced that much of my skin problems is due to an unhealthy gut. This book promises to help you understand better what kind of bacteria you need for optimal health, and includes recipes for meals as well as skin products.

I love having challenges lined up and so I’m going to be signing up for lots of obstacle course races! With English weather being so unpredictable and having had problems removing clothes after freezing obstacle course races because my fingers were so numb, I want to be warm. And I always suffered from acute jealousy when I saw runners all cosied up in their DryRobes.
4.
Ethos Original Muscle Flow Tank, £25
If I’m going to beat my husband, I need some motivating clothes! Am a bit biased because I helped design this but I still think it’s awesome. I love that it’ll be a reminder to eat better, sweat more and breathe! A balanced lifestyle is essential and I often forget to make sure I spent time on myself.
5.
I’ve only ever had matcha once and I really enjoyed it. I’ve heard so much about the benefits but have yet to properly try it out. I love that you can put it into shakes and it looks like a good coffee replacement.
6.
Bellabeat Health Tracker, US$119
I LOVE health trackers. I’ve tried many and am constantly impressed by the increasingly advanced technology used. Bellabeat is the most gorgeous one I’ve seen so far and monitors sleep, breathing, activity AND periods. One thing I don’t want to do is wear myself out so hopefully this would help me take stock of that.
7.
Zaazee Amy Racerback Bra top, £32
I’ve got Zaazee’s cross back vest already and it’s flattering and comfy so I’d like to get their bra top too. This looks perfect for yoga and looks so different from normal clunky sports bras. Plus, team the magenta with a dark vest top and it’ll look awesome.
8.
SoMuchMore White Card month pass, £89
There’s several monthly passes to fitness classes available but SoMuchMore offers more holistic classes too, including meditation and mindfulness. Whilst there are other passes that have been reported as having a higher number of classes, I imagine there will be more than enough to keep me busy in the first months.
9.
Nike Flyknit Zoom Agility, £140
I’ve heard so much about these shoes – mainly for the fact they’re lightweight and so comfy. As I’m planning on doing a range of studio and outdoor fitness classes, having a shoe that’s versatile and grippy is essential. I’m not very good at avoiding puddles so I hope that the fact that these are light also mean that they won’t take on too much water!
