It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and City and Hackney MIND, a charity raising awareness and promoting understanding of mental health, is campaigning to help east Londoners, ‘Take a Pause’. They have partnered with The Wellbeing Network and are hosting a free Wellbeing Event at Dalston Eastern Curve Garden on Wednesday 18th May, 6pm – 8:30pm.
City and Hackney MIND’s Wellbeing Event on Wednesday 18th May invites east Londoners to ‘Take a Pause’ in one of Dalston’s beautiful hidden spaces, the Eastern Curve’s Garden.
Guests will be taken through guided mindfulness sessions; yoga led by Hannah Goodman, free complimentary therapies including massage and aromatherapy from the Shoreditch Spa and listen to soothing flute and harp music from local artists. Guests will also be able to enjoy delicious wood-fired pizza and soft drinks.
With an increasing amount of people signed off from work due to stress, anxiety and depression, this event is designed to raise awareness and support. The Wellbeing Network enables Hackney & City residents to access free information, online resources and practical support; they encourage people to take a pause in their everyday lives, and improve their mental wellbeing.
Mindfulness is a simple everyday technique that has been scientifically proven to benefit mental wellbeing and reduce stress levels.
