Bellum Active have just launched their Cobra Strike leggings and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a pair. Bellum Active always design active wear that is both thoughtfully functional as well as being funky and fun. If you have to drag yourself down to the gym, especially after all those Easter Eggs (this might just be me – I had way too many) why not make it more motivational by wearing something wicked. Bellum Active’s latest offering, the Cobra Strike leggings are a perfect blend of design and fashion. The design is thoughtful, with respect to functionality. (Check out the specs below). The fashion is pretty cool – a snake skin design that shimmers under the harsh lighting that most gyms impose upon its clients!
I have to admit, one of my favourite things about going to an exercise class is checking out what the others are wearing; a sort of window shopping if you will! The workout wear industry has boomed in recent years and thankfully, the selection of clothes available is as diverse as the list of classes available! When I join a new class and am feeling a little self-conscious, I tend to wear black and hide in the back, like the Parkour class I went to recently – there are some impressive moves in that class, but not from me! However, if I join a class that I frequent and feel confident participating in, I tend to wear more vibrant clothes. The plethora of clothing options certainly makes a gym session more interesting and definitely jazzes up classes that have titles like “80s Aerobics”; I always dress to the occasion and Bellum Active‘s designs are inspired and the Cobra Strike leggings are an awesome addition.
So, what did I think?
Bellum Active’s signature stretchy material fits to your form, but gives you freedom of movement. The mesh behind the knees is a fun design as well as keeping you cool! I love the high waistband, as it helps to remind you to suck your belly in from the core during your workout. The zip pocket in the back of the waistband is perfect for anyone who wants to take something with them, whilst on the run! This Cobra Strike design shines under the lights and looks like its namesake.
