This year, Hannah has tackled several obstacle courses, competed in a triathlon and conquered Yosemite’s Half Dome climb to the summit, amongst other things! Hannah is always keen to try fun and exciting ways to exercise, so this year, Hannah’s Christmas wish list includes some of her classic favourites, as well as some new accessories for a healthier and fitter 2017!
My health and fitness christmas wish list is a mix of new and a few old favourite ‘eat sweat breathe’ choices, sure to help me actively pursue a healthier lifestyle. I am sure 2017 will be a successful and productive year, focused on my health and fitness goals as I keep discovering new and exhilarating ways to workout.
1. Portable Water Filtration Kit
It is so important to keep hydrated when you are hiking, so carrying enough water on your person is paramount. However, should you run out of water and are lucky enough to be near a water source, a portable water filtration kit, such as this Sawyer mini water filtration system from £18.95 on Amazon, is a great way to be confident that the water you are drinking is safe.
2. Touch Screen Gloves
Removing your gloves when it’s cold outside is not fun. I would love a pair of touch screen gloves so that my hands can stay nice and toasty! These M&S 2 Pack Touch Screen Magic Gloves are only £4 and come with two pairs! One for you, one for me!
3. Scandi Ski Seamless Long Sleeve Top and Leggings
I love these Scandi Ski base layers from Sweaty Betty, they look so cosy. Perfect for any ski bunny! The Scandi Ski Seamless Long Sleeve Top is £60 and the Scandi Ski Seamless Leggings are £60.
4. Dryrobe Advance Adult
Protect your modesty and keep warm after those pretty muddy obstacle course races! This Dryrobe from Wiggle will do the job. A little expensive at £94.99, but I know it will become a firm favourite and prove to be an essential piece of kit!
5. Towelmate Handlebar Covers
Nice gyms and activity classes have clean equipment and sanitiser wipes. These Towelmate Handlebar Covers go one step further and keep you clean with another layer of protection from the residual sweat of any previous participant. Available at $8 in the USA… I may have a relative post them over here!
6. Equinox
Speaking of nice gyms… I asked for this one last year, but they didn’t get the message, so here it is again! Equinox Kensington is a little far away from me in East London, so whilst I anticipate their expansion, I would love the option to go occasionally. Day passes would be ideal. The cleanest gym/health club I have ever been to plus eucalyptus spray in their steam room is a must for any asthma sufferer – breathe!
7. Toesox
I like these Toesox and think that they would be a useful addition to any gym bag. Useful for keeping a grip on the yoga mat, these Toesox from Amazon are reasonably priced at £10 and come in a variety of colours!
8. Dr.Beekeeper
“No shortcuts, no sugar, no funny business.” This raw honey is healthy and delicious. Plus, the company donate 10% of proceeds to Bees For Development. A personalised Christmas gift box from Dr. Beekeeper starts from £12. They have a range of jams and nuts too! Yum.
9. A Spiralizer
I would like to substitute pasta for a healthier option and I believe a Spiralizer would aid this process, but I haven’t done my research on the best ones – there are so many! Any suggestions? This one from Kenwood looks simple to use, easy to clean and small enough to store.
10. Sweat With Kayla
I want to join the community of over 10 million women who have signed up for Sweat With Kayla, it looks motivational and it seems to work. Let’s hope this one is in my stocking this year…
11. All The Right Places Crop Trousers
This colour is divine! These stunning blue workout leggings are from Lulu Lemon at £108. Definitely on my christmas wish list.
12. Bliss Spa
Always on my wish list, a Bliss Spa treatment. I love relaxation time at my favourite spa in London, Bliss!
Wish List Bonus…
My bonus wish list items are the Giant Liv Avow Advanced Pro 2016 triathlon bike and a Zone3 Women’s Vision 2015 Wetsuit. These would improve my triathlon times, I’m certain!
